Your production errors, inside your AI tools

elmah.io logs errors, uptime checks and heartbeats for .NET and JavaScript apps. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT or Codex, and your assistant can read an error, suggest a fix, and mark it as fixed when you ship.

Works with the tools you already use

The MCP server, the AI Plugin and the CLI are included on every plan, including the 21-day trial.

Any MCP client that supports OAuth works. These are the ones we have setup guides for.

One log, several ways in

Errors from your apps land in elmah.io once. You and your assistant read the same data, from wherever you work.

MCP server Beta

Lets any MCP client list, count and read errors, look up deployments, uptime checks and heartbeats, and mark errors as fixed, hidden or bot traffic. Included on every plan.

What it looks like

Example session in Claude Code (illustrative).

> What broke in production since the last deploy?

Checking deployments and recent errors in elmah.io...

Deployment 2.14.0 went out 42 minutes ago. Since then:
  - NullReferenceException in OrderService.Confirm (31 occurrences)
  - HTTP 500 on POST /api/orders (31 occurrences)
Everything else is the same as before the deploy.

> Show me the stack trace for the first one.

  at OrderService.Confirm(Order order) in OrderService.cs:line 88
The order's ShippingAddress is null when a customer picks store pickup.

> Fix it, then mark the error as fixed.

[edits OrderService.cs, adds a null check and a test]
Marked the error as fixed in elmah.io.

Your data, your rules

  • The MCP server signs you in with OAuth. Your assistant can read the logs your elmah.io user can read, and it can change messages only on logs where you have write access. Tokens expire after 30 days.
  • For scripts and CI, use an API key that has only the permissions you need.
  • Bugster's analysis of your log data is off until an organization admin turns on Extended Access. Business and Business+ use your own OpenAI, Gemini or Claude key. Enterprise can use a model hosted by elmah.io, so log data stays in our data center.
  • elmah.io does not use your log data to train or fine-tune large language models. If you bring your own key, check the training settings at that provider.

Frequently asked questions

Does elmah.io have an MCP server?

Yes. It is available at https://mcp.elmah.io/mcp and is currently in beta. It works with any MCP client that supports OAuth, including Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, VS Code and Visual Studio.

The MCP server, the AI Plugin and the CLI are included on every plan, including the 21-day trial. Each tool only returns data for features your plan has. A plan without uptime checks, for example, has no uptime checks to read.

Yes, when you ask it to. It can mark errors as fixed, hide or unhide them, reopen them and mark them as bot traffic, on logs where you have write access. Everything else is read-only.

The plugin installs the MCP server in Claude Code or Cursor and adds four skills and a background agent that watches a release. In other tools you use the MCP server directly and get the same tools.

No. Bugster runs inside the elmah.io app and the docs. The MCP server lets the AI tool you already use read elmah.io.

No. It is for terminals, scripts and CI. An AI assistant that can run shell commands can use it too, but it is an ordinary command-line tool.
